What we do
I can offer you a music class that is fun with an educational base.
Each session will start with refreshments. This will save the embarrassment of arriving when class is in full swing. I know how difficult it is to be punctual when you have a little one in tow. Refreshments for mums and kids are provided. (If your baby is unable to use a beaker, please bring your own bottle).
There will be singing, bouncing, clapping, pointing,tickling, wiggling and giggling. Each child will have their own baskets of goodies to tap, cuddle or shake along to rhythmical songs. We will use a variety of puppets, props and percussion instruments. The songs will be selected for the age group of the children, with a wide range of traditional and new nursery rhymes and action songs.
Parents / Carers sit in a circle with their child for the session. No cds are used, this encourages everyone to join it. Your child will love the sound of your voice. Words to all songs are displayed around the room.
Sessions are limited to around 10 children per class to prevent overcrowding.
If there is a high enough demand, I will run sessions during the school holidays. I also aim to organise at least 1 group trip during each holiday and 1 social event for mothers.
Babies 0-12mths (non-walkers)
You will sit with baby on your lap. Together you will enjoy songs and rhymes with catchy lyrics. .You'll be singing along in no time, interacting with your baby. The babies will learn to sing and play, point and wave, clap and pat, shake and tap, wiggle and giggle with their friends.
Toddlers 1-2 yrs
Much of the class will be similar to the Babies. There will be additional action songs now they are on their feet.You will find these sessions very rewarding, as your child will starts to remember more of these actions from week to week.
Over 2's
This class is for the older, more active toddler. Your child will be encouraged to join in with the many action songs. It will also include familiar songs from the younger classes.
